We built the room we needed.

Sip & Social started with a quiet, persistent thought: where do grown Black women in the DMV actually go to make friends? Not coworkers. Not the same three girls from college. Real, sustaining, show-up-for-each-other friendship — in the city we already live in.
We noticed three things at once. Adult friendship is hard to build from scratch. Socializing in DC, Maryland, and Virginia is genuinely expensive — every weekend feels like a $200 decision. And the spaces that do exist rarely feel curated for us.
So we made one. A club that pools the cost so nights out feel reasonable. That handles the planning so you can just show up. That puts Black women at the center — our humor, our taste, our pace, our joy.
"This is for the woman who keeps saying she wants to go out more — and finally has somewhere worth going."
Every event hand-picked. No filler.
Membership absorbs the cost of going out.
Friendship is the product. Always.
